As a
recruiter you are faced with constant frustration and
disappointment interlaced with moments of exhilaration when a
deal goes together. At one end of the recruiting spectrum you
have to market to an audience that has become numb from
listening to numerous daily pitches from recruiters just like
you. At the other end of the spectrum you have candidates who
are becoming more independent, less willing to relocate and
more particular.
-
First, you have to constantly market your services
to prospective clients to obtain a job order. How
do you distinguish yourself from the competition?
If you are part of a large network, you tout the
benefits of your 300+ offices for example, and hope
the hiring authority has not had a bad experience with
a rookie recruiter in another office. If you are a
small independent you label yourself a ‘boutique’ firm
who works with only a select group of clients at any
one time. Fact is you need to work on the few
assignments you have, and hope several of them go the
distance and you make a placement. Then you can go
back to marketing. And talk about hitting a moving
target. Just when your hiring authority remembers your
name and actually calls you with a job order,
he or she gets promoted, leaves or is downsized out.
Next time you call it’s as if they never heard of
you, meanwhile you placed several of their key
people.
-
Finally you get a job order and every qualified
candidate you recruit is interested in making a move,
just not to any of your current clients. So now
what happens? Well, if you are a good recruiter you
try to refer the candidate to one of your colleagues
or make a vow to market this MPC (most placeable
candidate) to some other companies, as soon as you get
around to it. Reality is the candidate sits on your
desk or in your database and will probably get placed
by someone else. After all you got
the candidate thinking about change and made him or
her update their resume. They are now motivated and
guaranteed they will not be at their present employer
for long.
It just never seemed to balance out until
RecruitAlliance™. Now the candidate you
surfaced for your job order in the Midwest who wants to
go to New York or New Jersey instead, can be presented
to companies with openings in the northeast.
Companies you may never have spoken to or had success
marketing to. The days of making endless marketing
calls only to leave hundreds of voice mail messages
and get few callbacks are over.
RecruitAlliance™
brings together employers and
recruiters in an alliance that dramatically benefits
both. Spend your time doing what you are good at,
recruiting! Submitting on-target candidates to
companies and getting them hired is how you get paid.
As a member of the
RecruitAlliance™
you
will gain unlimited access to all the job orders posted
by our corporate clients and other recruiters. Each posted job order
includes the
fee, guarantee as well as other pertinent information. Companies you were never able to crack will
now have their jobs posted for all member
recruiters to view and submit candidates. If you have a
qualified candidate and will accept the fee they agree
to pay then follow the instructions on the job order and
forward your candidate for that job. When more
than one recruiter submits the same candidate, the time
of submission will determine which recruiter gets credit.
Note, always ask your candidate prior to
submission on any job order if they have already been
submitted.
The benefits are obvious, by becoming a member of
RecruitAlliance™
you should increase your
placements, which will have a profound effect on
your bottom line. The candidates you worked so hard to
surface can now be given numerous choices of
opportunities instead of sitting in your database
waiting for someone else to place.
Will you still be able to build a relationship with
an employer? You bet. The best way to achieve that
goal is to fill their current ‘hot’ position.
Bottom line, the Internet has dramatically changed
the way business does business, however companies
will always need recruiters.
RecruitAlliance™
streamlines the process and makes it easier and more
effective for everyone!
